Our Spanish courses

You can always find a suitable Spanish training. Depending on your learning desire you can choose to learn Spanish in a group or in an individual training. All our Spanish courses are linked to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). This enables our students to know exactly which level they have reached at the end of the course. In addition we make use of the Europees Taalportfolio (ETP).

What is Common European Framework of Reference?

Advantages of the CEFR

An advantage of the CEFR is that it can be used for all European languages. In addition, the framework links up to the internationally recognised classification systems, language tests and language exams. It is therefore quite easy to compare the different tests and classification systems.

European Language Portfolio

The European Language Portfolio (ELP) is a document in which those who are learning or have learned a language can record and reflect on their language learning and cultural experiences.

The ELP is composed of three parts

It contains a language passport which its owner regularly updates. A grid is provided where his/her language competences can be described according to common criteria accepted throughout Europe and which can serve as a complement to customary certificates.

The ELP also contains a detailed Language biography describing the owner’s experiences in each language and which is designed to guide the learner in planning and assessing progress. Finally, there is a Dossier where examples of personal work can be kept to illustrate one’s language competences.

In the portfolio you can record what you are able to do in a foreign language and how good your language knowledge is. This is defined in terms of the reference levels of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

The Common European Framework divides learners into three broad divisions which can be divided into six levels.

A Basic Speaker

• A1 Breakthrough or beginner
• A2 Waystage or elementary

B Independent Speaker

• B1 Threshold or intermediate
• B2 Vantage or upper intermediate

C Proficient Speaker

• C1 Effective Operational Proficiency or advanced
• C2 Mastery or proficiency (C2 level equals a ‘native speakers’ level

DELE exams

Our courses provide a thorough preparation for the DELE exams. The DELE Spanish Diplomas are the official qualifications certifying the degree of competence and mastery of Spanish, granted by Instituto Cervantes on hehalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain.

The DELE examinations have been designed following the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) of the Council of Europe.

The DELE Diplomas are recognized world-wide by private companies, chambers of commerce and by both private and public educational institutions. It is worthy to emphasize that the DELE Diploma is particularly useful for education and finding employment.
